Aaron Persico delivers skill session
U16A co-coach gives instruction on "taking the ball into contact"
St. Pat's Silverstream old boy Aaron Persico made his debut for Italy against Scotland in the 2000 Six Nations and was also in their squad at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He won a total of 56 caps for Italy and scored two tries for them.
Aaron kindly agreed to coach our U16A team with parent Anthony Lawry, with the two now in charge of a very well-performing team this season.
Aaron comments: "I have really enjoyed my experience with the U16 boys. They have a good work ethic and are always open to feedback. We have had a great start to the season, winning all of our games. I can feel the boys are hungry to finish off the season strongly and to keep developing our game and skill sets."
Today Aaron ran an excellent session on taking the ball into contact. St. Bede's Rugby is grateful to Aaron for offering his time for our players.
