NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY

Chrissie Walker —

If you don’t know what to read next, or only have a vague idea about what you like, come and check out the range of suggested reading booklists at the library.

We have booklists that will give you suggestions for humorous stories, thrillers, action, adventure and survival skills, sports novels and biographies, war stories, dystopian series and many more. I’ll feature some of these in the newsletter over the next few months, but please do come and collect a booklist on a particular genre or topic if you are interested!

Today I’ve attached a booklist for those of you who like reading funny stories. Everybody probably read The Wimpy Kid series at primary school, but there are a bunch of other authors who write funny series that you may like to check out. Most of these are pretty easy reading so they are great books to relax with. One of the newer series you might like to try is the Joe Cowley series. These have been marketed as the Wimpy Kid for teenagers, and there are four in the series to try. Come and give one a go, then let me know what you think…
