Cricket

Congratulations to the Colts Cricket team (2016 Year 9 team) who played in a regional semi-final for the NZCT Cup competition game against Marlborough.

St Bede’s lost the toss and were put into bat.  We batted very well in trying conditions on the dewy wicket and made 202/8.

Top scorers were:

  • James McSweeney     78
  • Sam Sandford                   46

Marlborough Boys’ High started strongly, but some excellent bowling secured the win by 53 runs.

Top bowlers

  • Reuben Stoffers            4/26
  • Mason Cummings        3/14

This now puts us in the Regional final, which will see us play Christchurch Boys’ High School.
