News regarding an Old Boy's visit, NCEA information evening and the Variety Concert follows...

Visit by Old Boy - Byron Coll

Old boy and well-known actor Byron Coll is visited the College today to speak with senior Drama students about his career on stage. A familiar face from the MasterCard ads with the All Blacks, Byron attended the College in the early 2000s and became interested in acting as a Year 13 student. Since then, he has shown great determination and perseverance in developing his career, which has recently begun to take off. He has appeared in the movie Bombshell about the Rainbow Warrior sinking (shown on TVNZ) and is currently performing in The Mikado to great critical acclaim:

 NCEA Arts evening for parents

Parents of senior students taking Drama, Music and Visual Arts are invited to an information evening from 6 – 7pm next Wednesday in the PAC. This session will explain the organisation of assessments for students during the year given the particular demands of Arts subjects and will offer advice to parents on the best way to support their sons to achieve to their potential.

 

Variety Concert next month

The first Variety concert for the year will be held on Thursday, 23 March at 7.30pm in the PAC. We aim to present a varied line-up of musical, dramatic and other acts and are always on the lookout for new and hidden talent! There is a charge of $5 at the door and all are welcome.
