Basketball Friday Night
As the contractors have now moved inside to the gym this is unavailable to play there this week so all games that were set down to play at St Bede's College are now being played at the Celebration Centre which is over by Cowles Stadium. The entrance to the stadium is off Bickerton Street then Helanca Ave then into Dolamore Street which takes you to the asphalt car park.
Marlborough Boys’ College Exchange
Thank you to all those parents who took billets from Marlborough and I must apologise to those parents who kindly offered and ended up with none then offered to take 2 and ended up with 1 it was a real missed communication from their part where the sports co-ordinator clearly had not communicated with team members. Then they did not allow enough time to come through the middle of the island which was a real mix up in their arrival time, so I do thank you very much for your patience and understanding on this and I really appreciate your support thank you very much.

Cricket Pre Season Training
Reminder: Registrations for the Pre-season winter training now closes on the 14 August and this is your last chance so please use the link below.
The Cricket Club have arranged for Pre Season Winter Training Sessions to be held at Lincoln University. For the majority of the club there will be 4 training days and for 1st XI and Australian Trip there will be 6. We have received positive feedback from these training sessions in previous years and they are well worth attending. Ben will have his full Coaching Staff on board to work alongside each player.
Date for the training sessions are:
- 20 August 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training 1st XI & Australian Trip
- 27 August 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training 1st XI & Australian Trip
- 2 September 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training Entire Club
- 9 September 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training Entire Club
- 16 September 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training Entire Club
- 23 September 2017 Lincoln Pre Season Training Entire Club
The times for each level will be set once numbers have been received. Ben will tailor make trainings to suit each bracket. We have booked the facilities from 9am-1pm for first two sessions and from 10am-1pm for following four sessions. We anticipate these trainings will be approx 1.5-2hrs long.
Unfortunately due to unsuccessful funding applications the Club is having to charge a small cost for these sessions. This cost will cover the lane hire only and the Club will cover the costs of the Coaching.
Cost are:
- $60 for 1st XI & Aussie Teams
- $40 for rest of club

Rowing
St Bede's College Rowing Club are still holding a “Have A Go Days” on the water and if your son is interested in giving it a go please see Mrs Kissick.
“Have a Go Days” will be held and there is no commitment to take up rowing until the end of October so everyone is welcome to give Rowing a go. This is a great sport to working on upper body, core and leg power. It also teaches the boys how to have a great time management skill.
Football 1st XI who had a great game at English Park against Marlborough Boys College, they constructive and consistent Football and came away with a 5 to 0 win. Well done boys.
