Wee need Reader / Writers for Exam Week, Monday 20 August - Friday 24 August.

In week 5 of Term 3 (Monday 20 August to Friday 24 August) we have our school practice exams. The exams are important as they give an indication of the progress a student is making and they also give students an authentic understanding of NZQA style of assessment. We need volunteers to support students as Reader/Writer support in particular on the Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

If you are interested in volunteering as a Reader/Writer in this week I will be running a training session on Monday, 13 August at 3.00pm, where I will go over what we require of a support person and the format of most of the exams. If you are not available for this session we can share this information digitally.

In addition, if you are interested in participating in paid support work for the NZQA exams at the end of the year, I will talk to you about the requirements of current police vetting and what is required of you by NZQA.

If you have attended a training session in the past 12 months please do not feel obliged to attend the training. We will also be running more sessions prior to the NZQA exams that take place at the end of November and beginning of December.
