Greetings from St Bede's

Mr Gerry Davidson —

Our busy term became even busier this week with a number of teams away at Tournament Week. The Rowers are in Karapiro, Junior Cricketers in Palmerston North, the Futsel team in Wellington and both our Softball and Waterpolo teams were competing in tournaments in Christchurch.

At the same time our Senior Drama students were attending the production of the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, our senior biologists were in Taylors Mistake and the Outdoor Pursuits class was in Murchison. Of equal importance is our Bishop Lyons Public Speaking Team who are in preparations for their Canterbury-wide competition in Term Two. The athletes are off to Dunedin for the South Island Athletic Championships, Football begins tomorrow and Villa Nova College from Brisbane are visiting with two rugby teams.

In amongst all that, boys are completing assessments and attendances at Benediction and Rosary continues to be impressive. The Polyfest boys were also outstanding in their recent competition and we had a very good student-led assembly on Thursday.

You get a lot in during a week at St Bede’s!
