Backstroke star shines at nationals

Year 10 student Jayden Lee took three medals at the National Age Group Champs last month, including gold in the 50m event.

Jayden Lee (Wharenui Swim Club) participated the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships at the Hawke's Bay Aquatic Centre from 13-17 April.
Jayden won first place in the 50m backstroke 14-year-old age group and once again won the national title.
He also claimed silver in the 100m backstroke and bronze in the 200m backstroke.
Jayden also represented St Bede's College at the 2025 Canterbury Secondary Schools' Swimming Championships at Jellie Park on 2 April, taking out first place in the 50m backstroke.
