The Wiz on next week

With only a few days to go, last-minute preparations are being done to bring the production the Wiz to the stage. Lighting has been installed, costumes and props sorted out and even the stage floor has been painted. Tickets may be purchased in two ways: by website http://www.dashtickets.co.nz/search/… or at the door on the night if there are any available ($15). Support the students who have worked so hard to bring this story to life by coming along!

Rodger Fox jazz Workshop

Members of the College’s jazz group attended an excellent series of workshops on Tuesday at the Aurora Centre, put on by the Rodger Fox Big Band. The topics covered were how to rehearse effectively, how to improvise, specific instrument masterclasses and culminated in a drum workshop and presentation by renowned drummer Dave Weckl. Some stayed on for the evening concert so gained full benefit from the opportunity. The jazz group participates in the JazzQuest competition held here in Christchurch in August.
