A huge congratulations to Andres Hernandez who finished 2nd in the Junior Boys.

Nick Moulai was very competitive in the Senior Boys race with over 200 competitors where a very fast pace was set.   Nick finished in 3rd place.

Ethan Smolej's training paid off and saw him finish 4th in the Year 9 boys.

All three runners ran in the teams' relay for Canterbury on Sunday which saw Nick’s Canterbury Senior Boys team win bronze, Andres' team won gold in the Junior Boys and Ethan's team was 2nd in the Year 9 race.

Isiah Atherton ran a great race in the Senior Boys Para 2000m race finishing in 6th place.

St Kevin's Exchange

As you are aware, we did not go to St Kevin’s on Tuesday and we wait to see if we can reschedule this either this term or next term but it may be cancelled.

Taekwondo

Last weekend William Bouwman (old boy of St Bede's College) gained his 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. This is the result of many years hard work, beginning while at St Bede's.

William was put through rigorous testing including mental and physical stress. He had to demonstrate a wide range of skills, including Patterns (Poomsae), Sparring/Fighting (Kyorugi), breaking of wooden boards and numerous fitness tasks. This was completed over a number of hours.

William now moves to Black Belt 1st Dan, an Internationally recognized belt.

Congratulations to William for his years of dedication to his sport and we wish him all the very best for a brilliant future in the sport.
