My Future Self Y13 Careers Programme.

The Year 13 cohort enjoyed an offsite motivating and inspiring careers focussed day on Tuesday at the McFaddens Centre. The day was kindly sponsored by the OBA and feedback has been positive - a day that was beneficial to all who attended.

Julian Meates, an Old Boy, started the day with an inspiring talk about life after St Bede's and overcoming hurdles and seizing opportunities that come your way. Then the team at Zestpeople marched the boys through further tools to gather career insights including an occupational / interests themed activity. 

They also delivered practical workshops on interviewing, CV preparation and job search through making the most of your networks. (There is a photo attached of the Zestpeople booklets and information covered that you may find in your sons’ backpacks).

We finished the day with some fantastic OBA and friends of the school who came to inspire the boys, share stories across a range of industries and knowledge of opportunities ahead, offering lots of encouragement for the boys to keep exploring.
