We are very thankful that this year our jazz band Bede’s Per Minute has had the opportunity to perform and compete against other high school jazz ensembles at Ara’s Jazz Quest. 

This was no easy feat, so we are incredibly grateful to Ms Saint-Guillaume for putting this ensemble together, guiding and making special arrangements for the pieces that Bede’s Per Minute performed.

Bede’s Per Minute performed three pieces for the competition, varying the styles and timeline of jazz. They performed Blue Train by John Coltrane, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours by Stevie Wonder, and the classic Fly Me to The Moon by Frank Sinatra. The ensemble felt very blessed to have played last for the competition, allowing them to finish off the event with a bang.
