At our Summer Sports Assembly yesterday, the following awards were presented and achievements acknowledged.

Athletics

Matt has taken 5 wickets in all three Traditional Games this year

The following cricketers have scored 100 or more runs with the bat

  • Sam Lawry -100 runs not out against Riccarton High School 1st XI
  • Mitchell Pile - 108 runs against St Andrew's Colts XI and 103 runs against Sydenham - Year 9 Cricket Merit Award Wayne Baldwin Trophy
  • Ben Trillo - 111 runs not out against St Bede’s College 9A Black and 139 retired against Shirley Boys’ High School 9A
  • Connor Stewart - 104 retired against Shirley Boys’ High School 9A

Congratulations to the 1st XI who won all three traditional games, retaining the The David Bomber Mill Cup against Sacred Heart, The Evatt Cup against St Pat’s Silverstream and Dry Family Cup from St Pat’s Town

Rowing

All rowers had a very good season gaining a Silver and two Bronze medals at South Island Champs.

Maadi was a success with A finals to Under 17 Coxed Eight, Under 18 Four, and the Under 18 Coxed Eight who made the Maadi final race which is the first time since 2013.

Congratulation to Matty Barr, Ben MacGregor and Ben Visser who gained a South Island trial.
