Over recent years, our number one cricket pitch had become tired and increasingly difficult to maintain due to thatch build-up.

Recognising the need for improvement, we’ve recently completed a full renovation of the entire number one block.

Thanks to the generous support of Pub Charity Limited, we were able to remove the old Waikari clay and replace it with Heathcote clay - a more durable, maintenance-friendly surface commonly used on premier pitches across Canterbury.

We’re incredibly grateful for this support and excited to see our cricketers enjoying the benefits of a top-quality playing surface over the coming seasons.

The new pitch will be ready for use in Term 1 next year.
