Results and Information.

Basketball

Senior A Basketball team had their first home game for the season in the school gym against Christs College. 

Tom Hughes received an elbow to the hip in the first two minutes which sent him to the side-line in pain and he sat out the rest of the game.

The game was close until the final quarter when Christs College pulled away to win 83-92.

No Friday night Basketball tonight due to long weekend.

Football

1st XI fought hard last night against Christchurch Boys’ High School narrowly going down in the last 10 minutes, 2 goals to 1.

Hockey

Hockey’s 1st XI played Shirley Boys’ High School this week and had a fantastic win over them 7-1.

Rugby

Congratulations to the 1st XV who have had two good wins over Nelson College 22-17 and Marlborough Boys’ College 29-22 and now are 3rd on the UC Championship Board. 

They travel to Nelson this weekend to play Waimea Combined Schools.

Road Race

Canterbury Secondary School Road Race – was held on Tuesday in freezing cold conditions.

Jvyhen Duell finished 5th in the Para event

Andres Hernandez finished 4th in the Senior Boys

Max Coltman finished 11th in year 9 boys.

Well done to all the runners who braved the day!

Mountain Biking

Congratulations to Alex Wyman who competed in the Nelson Mountain Bike clubs winter downhill series, first two races of a 5 rounds series held on different tracks in Nelson and Blenheim. Alex was placed first in both races. Well done Alex.
