Greetings from St Bede’s.

We complete half the term today, so the time clock is ticking for seniors, and they only have nine weeks of class left. In previous years, this would have been practice exam week, but because of class-time lost earlier in the year, we thought it prudent to look at other ways to practise assessment tasks; and keep the boys in class.

We had a last-minute, but very pleasant visit from the Ambassador for Ireland, His Excellency Mr Peter Ryan, who came for a tour of the College and to meet the Irish members of staff for morning tea. 

Sport continues in the weekend. Football, basketball, hockey and rugby all have games scheduled on Friday night and Saturday.

To meet and manage games under the Level 2 restrictions, we ask there be no spectators at all games over the weekend. Frustrating though this may be, we would appreciate your co-operation. 

We are very hopeful that we will return to Alert Level 1 next week so that spectators can attend.
