Rockquest success
Congratulations to the Year 12 band Midnight Things comprising Jonathan Boyle, Cathal Dickson, Kalen Edlin and Matt McCarthy. The group made it through to the regional finals on Friday 23rd May, only one of 12 bands out of the 40-plus contenders. Performing an original song, they impressed with their cohesive sound and strong interaction between the players. They will perform two originals at the next round.
Broadcasting opportunity gains positive feedback
On Anzac Day, three Year 13 students – Jake Fearon, Robbie Karsten and Connor Kitto – were invited to produce an hour-long show on Radio Live. Taking the role of millennials, they covered such topics as pop culture, mental health and Anzac Day in an entertaining but meaningful way. Feedback was very positive and they have been invited back to appear on forthcomiing shows on Radio Live and Newstalk ZB.
