WEDNESDAY SPORT

Starts this Wednesday 13 February

All teams are placed on the Sports Noticeboard at the end of Brodie by the Chapel building and draws for all sports will be placed there each week on a Monday.

CRICKET

The 1st XI played Sacred Heart College in their traditional game, in Auckland last week, winning by 258 runs in their 3 day game and retaining the David Mills Trophy for the second year in a row. Special mention goes to Matthew Boyle who made 127 runs, and Jackson Hemingway with 118 runs. Matt Munro took 5 wickets in the second innings which saw him take 9 wickets in the match. 

ROWING

Congratulations to our rowers who received medals at the South Island Club Championships last weekend.

First places went to:

  • Under 19 coxed eight won with the crew of Thomas Arscott, Lewis Meates, Ben MacGregor, Ben Visser, Will O’Brien, Matt Barr, Jamie Soper, Quentin Monaghan
  • Under 17 coxed eight won with the crew of Thomas Arscott, Ben Visser, Ben MacGregor, Will O’Brien, Jamie Soper, Lewis Meates, Matt Barr, and Ben Fleming

Second place went to:

  • Under 17 coxed four with the crew of Thomas Arscott, Lewis Meates, Jamie Soper, Ben Fleming and Gus Gusman as the coxswain
  • Under 15 coxed four with the crew of Oliver Flanagan, Matthew MacGregor, Zachary Taylor, Angus Lange and Gus Guzman was the coxswain.

FOOTBALL

The 1st XI football squad is holding pre-season training every Sunday morning at 9.00am to 11.00am.  

If your son is interested in playing for the 1st XI Football Team, then he must attend these training sessions.
