Help for the Homeless, Christchurch

Mrs Rachel Pitcaithly —

Can you spare the following...

Throughout the year our boys have been helping care for people in need at the ‘Help for the Homeless, Christchurch’ Mission on Oxford Terrace. They have been regularly cooking meals and serving these to people in need on a Sunday night. These meals go to children, women and men who know that they can turn up, no questions asked, and receive a warm, filling meal. Attending this has made a deep impact on those boys and staff involved.

The final meal rotation for our boys is Sunday 2 December. On this day we would also like to take some other items. The Mission has informed us that the following items are needed at the moment. If you would like to donate some of these, please get you son to bring them to my office where there will be a collection box. Seniors could bring them in when they have an exam or deliver them to the school office.

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions please just contact me here at school – rpitcaithly@stbedes.school.nz

Items needed:

  • Roll-on deodorant
  • Shaving razors
