For Year 9 and Year 10 students.

Parents and caregivers of Year 9 and Year 10 students are warmly invited to join us on the evening of Thursday 22 November at 7.00pm in the College staffroom. The staffroom can be accessed by going up the stairs beside Marist House.

This presentation will cover the importance of reading, strategies the College is implementing to improve the reading ability of the boys, and crucially, the role that can be played by those at home to increase reading performance. 

Reading ability is closely related to academic performance, whereby the better one reads, the better one performs academically.

The presentation will be given by myself and Nicola Leete, an credited Secondary Literacy Facilitator from UC Education Plus. We ask that you bring a pen along.
