Wednesday Sport

Next Wednesday, 22 November is the last day for Wednesday sport. A big thank you to all those parents who have helped during this term, this is very much appreciated by the boys and the College.

Cricket

Cricket Prize Giving – this will take place on Friday, 1 December in the PAC at St Bede’s. This is a time to acknowledge all players who have played cricket this year.

Saturday Cricket – there are places in teams if you wish to play on a Saturday, most games start at 1.00pm, please see me if you are keen to play.

AFL

Good luck to the two teams that are playing in the SI Junior Tournament at Burnside Park today.

Water Polo

The Junior Water Polo team is working towards the SI Junior Tournament next week at Jellie Park and have their last competition game for the term tonight at 8.45pm at Jellie Park.

Rugby 

Condor Seven’s

Well done to our Rugby Sevens team that qualified for the National Condor Sevens in Auckland. They will travel to Auckland on Friday, 1 December and we wish them well for the Nationals.

FOOTBALL COACHES 2018

The St Bede’s College Football Club is looking for volunteer coaches, managers and referee’s for the 2018 season. If you have played or coached, managed or refereed before, or just have a passion for the game and want to get involved, we would love to hear from you.

Football held their monthly meeting last night and are committed to putting coaches, managers and referees on courses run by Mainland Football, so if you see this as an opportunity to upskill we would love to hear from you.

SPORTS UNIFORMS

Can you please check your son’s room and bags as I am missing Football Shirts, Hockey Shirts and Basketball uniforms and shorts.

Last week a pair of black with red stripe Basketball shorts with “St Bede’s College Basketball” written on the left short leg were taken from my locked Sports Room, if you do come across these I would appreciate them being dropped back to the school office with no questions asked, or you could post them in. 

I find this very disappointing as they belong to a new set that was purchased by the hard working Basketball Committee, and now I have an incomplete set.
