It’s hard to believe the first term is almost over – but that means it’s a great time to come in and get a few books for the school holidays! Pictured and below are some of the new non-fiction titles that have arrived over the last month. All are available for borrowing now.

  • There have been a few requests for more Formula One books lately, so I’ve ordered a few more. These three pictorial books detail the history of Formula One as well as the Grand Prix tracks.
  • Muhammad Ali: The Tribute – Packed with photos, this has a good amount of info but not too much. Great for those who don’t love reading!
  • Black Boots: NZ Rugby Legends – Full of photos and small snippets of information, this book is also great for those wanting a book to flick through, or a quick read.
  • Siya Kolisi – The Captain of the Springboks shares his story and talks about his passion, race and faith.
  • Owning it – The inspirational story of a professional wakeboarder who became a quadriplegic after a terrible accident.
  • Relentless – The story of Donaldson’s journey to cross the Tasman Sea in a kayak.
  • Under a Big Sky – Saunders writes about the trials and tribulations of working on an NZ farm that has been in the family for 5 generations.
  • Overlander – A powerful story about a gruelling bike race across Australia.
  • Rugby Head – This story of a sports journalist obsessed by rugby discusses what it is to be a New Zealand man.
  • Nothing is Impossible – An inspirational read from Gareth Southgate about following your dreams and being brave and kind.
  • Ultimate Football Heroes series – A few new additions to this very popular series. These biographies are quick and easy to get through, and we have a bunch!
