Year 10 Camps

Mr Brandon Wilson —

The 2019 Year 10 School Camps will be held from Monday 2 to Friday 6 of December.

Next week, your son will be able to select his preferred camp option with a second and third choice as a back-up. There are maximum numbers that can attend all of the camp options so there is no guarantee that a student will gain his first choice. This will occur via a Google survey.

Here are the five options. They have varying costs and time frames (more details provided in Term 4).

  1. Peel Forest adventure camp. Rafting on the Rangitata River, high ropes, orienteering, bush skills. 3 day camp. Approximately $280. (Limited to 40 students)

  2. Otago Rail Trail Mountain Bike. 4 Days. Approximately $330. (Limited to 18 students)

  3. Lake Guyon Tramp. 5 hour tramp each day, Tents, fishing.  Approximately $140 (Limited to 20 students)

  4. Abel Tasman Sea-Kayak & Tramp. 5 days.  Cost TBC. (Limited to 16 students)

  5. Queen Charlotte Tramp/Sea-Kayak. 5 Days. A popular option as packs are transported by boat. Walk and sea-kayak the popular Queen Charlotte Walkway in the Marlborough Sounds. Cost TBC

All Year 10 parents have been invoiced a deposit of $200 at the end of last term.

Thank you

Brandon Wilson
