From the Rector

Justin Boyle —

This week has been even quieter than last, with our Seniors still sitting their NCEA exams, while the Year 9s have been on their Big Days out, Wednesday and today and the Year 10s have been away at various camps around the South Island.

I have heard that the weather may not have been all good for everyone, but I am sure that hasn’t stopped the activities and we look forward to letting you know about them in next week’s newsletter.

I would like to say Congratulations to Benjamin Sutcliffe, who was a Year 13 student this year, Ben has been picked as one of only 100 people from New Zealand to travel to Lisbon in July/August 2023, for World Youth Day. Ben had to put forward an application stating his reasons for wanting to go on the trip and we know that he will be a great role model for others travelling with him. You can read more about this in Ben’s article in this newsletter.

We hope that the Year 10s have some rest over the weekend, and we will see them and Year 9s back next Monday.

Until next week
