Some updates for the week.

Small Bore Shooting

The Small Bore Shooting team of Sam Kershaw, Mac Williams and Nic O’Connor are currently in 22nd place out of 34 boys teams in the National Target Shooting Competition. Sam Kershaw was awarded second boy in the individual and fourth individual overall.

There were 201 individual shooters competing.

A very big thank you to Chris Kershaw for coaching these boys each week at the Rangiora Gun Club.

South Island Skiing and Snowboard Championships

Best wishes to Matthew Bong, Henry Burrell, Andy Dalkie, Angus Parkyn, Louis and Willem Wylaars, who are competing at the South Island Ski and Snowboard Champs in Wanaka.

Thanks to Mr McPhail and Mrs Wylaars for taking this team to Wanaka.

Football

Prize giving will be held in the PAC this Sunday afternoon (17th September) at 2.00pm. All coaches, managers, players and parents are very welcome to attend.

Rugby

Prize giving will be held in the PAC next Sunday, (24 September) at 1.00pm.  All coaches, managers, players and parents are very welcome to attend.

Basketball Prize Giving

St Bede's College Basketball Club are holding their Prize Giving at “Pizza at the Reddie” on Thursday, 19 October.

“PIZZA AT THE REDDIE” the Redwood Hotel is offering dinner discounts, please see flyer in Basketball item in Newsletter.

Cricket

Pre-season cricket training programme gets underway for all players that have registered to attend. It is at the indoor cricket facility at Lincoln University.

There has been a high level of interest in this programme and we have big numbers attending. To help with the smooth running please be there in plenty of time and ready to start your scheduled session. Check out the email you will have received from our Cricket Co-ordinator for more details.

The sessions will run over the next 4 Saturdays starting this week, 2nd September.

Time Slots:

8.30am-10.00am 9White, 9Red & 9Black

9.30-11.00am 10Red, 10Black & 9A

10.30am-12.00pm Colts, 3rds & 4ths

11.30-1pm 2nds & 1sts

New Players - If you are currently not playing cricket but wish to play in Term 4, now is the time to sign up.

Rowing

If your son would like to row this year their will be Erg (rowing machine) sessions at College 3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For new comers this allows some techniques to be improved before they hit the water.
