Parents and students are invited to an information evening focusing on strategies for effective exam study and revision. 

I will be joined by Ms Nicola Leete, an education consultant and lecturer at University of Canterbury, to give advice on strategies that will improve student retention of information and preparation for exams. 

Key areas covered on the night will include:

• Skim reading and reading for purpose
• Summarising and paraphrasing
• Using graphic organisers

This session comes a week and a half before practice exams begin, a great time to apply some new techniques that could give students both momentum and an advantage moving into their exams.
