A return to wintery weather hopefully does not spoil the end of winter sport, there being many semi-finals and finals over the next couple of weeks.

Senior exam week was rewarding for some boys, but sobering for others. The week is early enough for the boys to realise what they do know, but also for those lagging behind, to find out what they don’t know!

You may have noticed some unwanted exposure in the media we attracted this week. We are dealing with this through the appropriate channels, in consultation with the boys involved and their families. 

It once again shows that boys acting irresponsibly and then advertising their actions on social media, is a potent mix and a recipe for disaster for all concerned. It clearly brings the good name of St Bede’s College into disrepute, and undoes all the good work that so many do in building and enhancing the reputation of the College in the classroom, sporting fields and wider community. In no way do we condone or excuse the boys’ behaviour.
