On Saturday 22 February, our Senior Touch Rugby team competed in the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Championship.

The team opened with wins against Hornby High School (6-0), St Andrews College (11-3) and Shirley Boys' High School (5-2). We then played Christchurch Boys' High School who are the perennial winners of this competition. We lost this game 4-2. 

When the final results were in, we discovered that we had made the final and were due to play, no surprise here, Christchurch Boys' High School. It was a tight and tense match which our team won 6-5. This success is especially notable given the that fact that the squad is a young one. There is only one year 13 in the team. They are very ably coached by Harrison Kirk and Leanne Wright. 

The boys are looking forward to the South Island Championship in a few weeks time. The team members are…
