1st XV head coach for 2021 appointed

Daniel Winchester assumes role of head coach

St. Bede’s College Rugby is very pleased to announce that Physical Education teacher Daniel Winchester will assume the role of 1st XV head coach in 2021. Daniel played 65 senior games for Sydenham RFC in a senior rugby career spanning five Years as well as one season playing in England. Next season will be his third year of coaching involvement in the 1st XV and he has previously coached at U15, U16 and 2nd XV level at the College. This year he is also the coach of our Sevens team which will take part in the Condor Sevens at the end of next week in Auckland.

Daniel says, “I am really excited about the opportunity to coach a talented group of young men next year. After two successful seasons we are in a great position to go one better in 2021.”

The remaining members of the 1st XV management group will be announced in the course of the next few weeks. St. Bede’s Rugby wishes Daniel all the best in his preparation for 2021, which promises to be an exciting season for those involved in St. Bede’s Rugby.
