Commencing Soon… Progress Update.

This week our Head Coach, Dale Maher met briefly with a number of lads interested in rowing ahead of the start of the season. This is vital in assisting us to start our planning for the season.

For anyone interested in Rowing we operate on a basis of getting the boys on the ERG’s (Rowing Machines) for technique and fitness, and river sessions for the remainder of Term 3, once winter sports have concluded. We also have a day camp in the second week of the holidays which provides a great insight into the sport, before committing to the season. We can always pair a non Christchurch rower up with another student if they need accommodation for this week.

We have already identified we have a particular need of finding more Coxswains based on our anticipated numbers. This is a great opportunity for smaller boys to be part of the crew and is a vital contribution to the team nature of the rowing experience.
