Music Lessons, Year 9 Choir and Musical

Music lessons in 2017

It is still possible to sign up now for music lessons, including new students entering the College. Lessons take place on a variety of instruments and take place during school time (same day but different time each week as far as is possible). Some instruments are free of charge while others incur a weekly cost which is paid directly to the music tutor. This year, the costs for each weekly lesson (30 minute, individual lessons) are as follows (there may be a slight increase for 2017.

• Strings/brass/woodwind  Free

Year 9 Choir

The auditioning of Year 9 voices was successfully held on Thursday this week and the amount of talent identified is encouraging. Thirty-five students were selected to be in the Year 9 choir which will meet at tutor time on Tuesday mornings (starting on 21st February) but any student is welcome to join if they are keen.

The Wiz - Musical Auditions 

The auditions for this year’s musical The Wiz will take place in the PAC on Tuesday, 21 February from 3.15 to 6pm and are open to any student. Information on the parts available can be picked up at the PAC office.
