Information and Update.

We are getting close to moving traffic onto the new QEII Drive lanes between Grimseys Road and Main North Road. To do this we need to close the Grimseys Road intersection to all traffic from Wednesday night, 20 February to construct the final surface. The traffic swap-over on QEII Drive west is scheduled for Sunday 10 March (depending on favourable weather conditions). Once QEII Drive traffic is on the new lanes we will re-open the Grimseys Road intersection (left in and out only). More info attached.

We are about to start the concrete piling work for the Styx River bridge foundation. We are installing 10 steel reinforced concrete piles, five on each side of the bridge. We will be vibrating and hammering the steel casings into the ground in sections. The 30m deep piles will create a strong foundation for the bridge. More info attached.
