Mrs Clare Kissick —

News this week includes the results from Tournament Week, Rowing AGM and Open Day, Football and Rugby prizegivings and Cricket pre-season training.

Tournament Week

It was great getting out of the office last week to Dunedin, Timaru and Ashburton.  I was very proud of our boys, in the way the conducted themselves on and off the fields, the way they put everything into their games was a real credit to all involved.

A huge thank you to all the parents that coached and managed teams during the week, we are very grateful for the amount of time and effort that has gone into getting these teams to their various tournaments and this is very much appreciated by the boys, staff and all here at the College.

A big thank you to staff that gave up their week to go away with teams to make this possible for the boys to enjoy their week.

The results are attached below.

Rowing

Annual General Meeting

This will be held this Monday, 12 September in the St Bede's College staffroom at 7.00pm to 7.30pm.

Open Day

An Open Day is being held this Sunday at Stewart’s Gully, on the Waimakariri River.  Parents and students that are interesting in rowing this season will benefit by having a go in a boat, having a go on the urgs and looking at how the Rowing Club operates at Stewart’s Gully with current parents, and senior rowers will be on hand to talk you through any questions you may have.  Follow the Stewart’s Gully Yachting sign to get to the river.
