NZ Secondary Schools Track and Field Champs

After a long, wet and windy weekend's competition in Wellington at the NZ Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships, our boys certainly deserve a relaxing holiday! Results are as follows:

On Friday Ben Phillips was second in the Junior Shot Put.

  • On Saturday Jyvhen Duell came third in both his para discus and shotput.
  • On Sunday Jyvhen gained another third in the 400m.

  • John Gerber came second in the senior 400m.
  • John then anchored the senior 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relay teams to great thirds in both the events. 

With him in the 4 x 100m was Bradley Jervis, Cameron Mantell and Sam de Roo.

In the 4 x 400m relay Sam was replaced by Ethan Smolej.

Plenty of other good placings. Well done to all who competed.
