Old Boy Selwyn Gamble looking to create change for Kiwi's in the screen industry

Mr George Berry —

It's fantastic to see old boys looking to make a positive impact in our country, and Selwyn Gamble is doing just that!

Selwyn is in his third year at the University of Canterbury studying Film, and during his time at St Bede's studied Drama and Visual Arts, as well as being an integral part of the Senior Choir and numerous Polyfest campaigns. In the attached video, Selwyn discusses the implications of the Screen Industry Workers Bill with the Education and Workforce Committee.

In his own words, Selwyn said: "These discussions are extremely important, as it affects the livelihoods of all current and future workers of the film industry in Aotearoa."

Well done Selwyn! This is a great example of standing up and using your voice to try create change.
