Justin Boyle —

With the start of NCEA exams, a Teacher Only day today and a Show Day tomorrow, this week has been a rather quiet one round the campus. Thank you to the volunteers who attend and sit in the exams with the boys, we know that you help to make the exams run more smoothly.

The Juniors are still here, finishing the curriculum for this year, they also have, for the Year 9s their Big Days Out and for Year 10s, Camp next week to look forward to. We hope you get some of the great weather that we have been enjoying for these activities.

Last week, we acknowledged our prize winners, but I would like to make special mention of one of those boys, Gregor Creagh. To gain both Dux and to also be the recipient of the Blue Riband – The Ignatius O’Boyle Cup and Gold Medal for the best and most generous use of talent in all aspects of school life, which Gregor was, shows not only commitment to academics, but also to life outside the classroom. The last time these two awards were won by the same student, was 10 years ago in 2012.

As we go into this long weekend, we know that for the Seniors, it will still be a time of study and we wish them all the best with their exams and keep them in our prayers.

Until next week

JG Boyle
