NZSTA is working very hard to encourage parent and whanau participation on school boards in order to help shape and support the education of your child / children.

To that end, they will be rolling out the Korari Programme for anyone interested in finding out about standing for the school board elections and having a say in the education of their children. Further information is attached regarding the following resources:

• Korari:
  A programme (workshop) that provides you with governance training to help you understand the role of school boards of trustees.
  NZSTA will be rolling out workshops for Korari in March/April this year. Please see attached poster for further information regarding this.
  As per normal practice, they will email all Principals and Chairs prior to any workshops being run so you have a heads up when this particular workshop will be run in your area.
  
  
• Korari Form:
  NZSTA will support anyone who advises them that they are interested in becoming a trustee, by way of the workshops but also providing access to their Learning Management System where online modules regarding school governance, student achievement etc. can be completed.
