In Term 2, College old boy Tom Maslin, working with Ignition Tutoring, is bringing an extra-curricular academic programme to St Bedes's College.

Tom is a final year Engineering student at the University of Canterbury, specialising in Robotics and Bio-medicine.

During the programme, students will get the opportunity to learn how to design, create, and control like an engineer, working on projects ranging from converting a remote-control car into a self-driving robot, to designing and 3D printing a robotic prosthetic hand. 

Tom will be at the College once per week, outside of school hours, to introduce students to computer-aided design, programming, electronics, and 3D printing. Open to all year levels. The cost is subsidised to $100 per term incl. GST.
