CNC Project Update

It has been six months since we started work on this project so attached is an update on our progress so far and where to next.

Piling near QEII Drive

We have completed more ground testing in this area and are happy the piles are reaching a solid layer of ground. Piling will start again in the next day or so and will take about 9-10 weeks to complete; 2-3 weeks on the north side of QEII Drive and then 3 weeks on the south side. We will then move back to the Winters Road subway site for about 4 weeks of piling.

QEII Drive Barriers

You may have noticed that we were unable to install the barriers on the south side of QEII Drive last week. This was due to an equipment break down. We will now be installing these barriers on the night of Sunday 18 June. The barriers will protect both drivers and our work crew while work goes on close to the road. Once these barriers are in place we can start work on the bridge embankments to take the new motorway over QEII Drive. In July we will extend the barriers along the north side of QEII Drive for the start of the four-laning work.
