Northern Force RFC, Lira District of Northern Uganda

Mark Ocwich played in one of our most successful 1st XVs of recent years - the team of 2009, captained by flanker Nick Howie. He came "on a mission" to gather knowledge in order to take rugby to the northern region of Uganda. Mark returned and set up the Northern Force RFC, with the specific aim of achieving social transformation through rugby. 2020 was a very tough year for his Club with the pandemic and unrest in Uganda ahead of the recent general election. 

The time has come for us to put the call out to our Bedean Rugby family in an attempt to keep the Northern Force afloat so Mark can contribute to his local society. He has worked selflessly for more than decade to maintain the Club. Any contribution you can make, however small, is greatly appreciated.
