The 1st XI had another great
season considering the team ranged in age from Year 9 to Year 13 players. They retained the Connect Shield winning the
round robin competition but unfortunately lost the final in a hard fought
game against Christ's College.
They were very unlucky to finish
4th in the South Island Tournament as a loss to CBHS cost them dearly.
Congratulations to George Baker,

a maximum points score (60 points).
For Tom to have won gold
medals in his first year of trap shooting is an
exceptional result.
Honour Pocket for Trap Shooting is awarded to:

Snow Sports
The Snow Sports team had a disrupted season due to many injuries and missed trainings due to COVID-19 restrictions at Mt Hutt, but still managed to compete in the regular competitions and once again had some pleasing results.
In August the team competed in
the Canterbury Champs at Mt Hutt. This was a Giant Slalom competition where
the competitors race around gates. The snowboard team performed very well, with Jackson Vallance placed 2nd and Andy Dalkie 4th. This meant that the Snowboard team which included Jonty Dodd
and Ollie Mann finished 1st overall.
In September the team headed
down to Wanaka to compete in the South Island Champs at Cardrona. The
competition was made up of two parts, giant slalom and slopestyle. The
snowboard team competed very well and brought home a handful of medals. In
the giant slalom Jackson Vallance won silver and Andy Dalkie won bronze. The
team which also included Giorgio Haendle and Jonty Dodd, finished 1st overall and were all
awarded a team gold medal. In the slopestyle event Jackson Vallance won a bronze medal.
