Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the lead-up to the holiday season. We’ve had a lot happening recently, and it’s a great time to reflect on some fantastic moments in our community. 

First up, the golf tournament was a huge success, with the largest attendance we’ve ever had. The photos are in this newsletter, so make sure you check them out! As for my golf performance, let’s just say I was as terrible as expected - but it was a winner for me because I got to share the day with my brother and son. That made it all worthwhile, even if I did lose my sunglasses somewhere along the way. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made the day so special. 

This month, we’re also celebrating the Year 13 leavers joining the old boys network. You’ll find a review of the breakfast and tie ceremony, which were both fantastic events. To all the newest old boys—welcome to the community! We look forward to seeing how you’ll continue to carry the spirit of St Bede's forward. 

Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for the Boarding 100 event, happening April 4 - 6 next year. Registrations are now open, so a big shout out to all boarders and their families, past and present. This will be a milestone celebration, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible. 

Finally, we’re planning to host an After 5 Event in Christchurch in February. It’ll be a relaxed, casual catch-up for anyone in town. Keep an eye out for more details - it’ll be a great chance to reconnect after the summer. 

As we close out the year, let’s remember the connections we share and the impact we can have on one another. Whether it’s through an event, a conversation, or simply showing up for our community, every little action strengthens the bonds that make St Bedes so special. Together, we’re not just preserving a legacy - we’re building one for the future.
