KYAKING

Louis Wylaars has just arrived back from Adelaide, where he has been competing in the New Zealand Under 16 team and gained two 4th placings. This is a great effort considering Louis is still 14 years old. His coach emailed him with this once he got home and I would like to share it with you.

“I commend you on your general manners, respect and willingness to ask if you can do anything to help, it’s a really important life asset the ability to have good manners and be respectful and also ask to help out and lend a hand! You obviously have been brought up well my friend, so well done to your parents, it must be those good Cantab values flowing through – I am sure the Bedean values have come through as well. Well done Louis.”

AFL

Congratulations to Finn Moffat and Sam Anderson who have been selected in the Under 18 New Zealand AFL team and are currently in Melbourne playing in an AFL tournament, which we wish them well for.

BASKETBALL

Friday Night Basketball

Please make sure your son has a mouth guard, correct singlet and P E shorts to play in. If you son does not have the correct singlet but has ordered his from the College Shop please make sure they play in their P E polo shirt and write their number on their hand.

I have 18 teams playing on a Friday night and I need your help as no other staff members are available to take a team on a Friday. EACH TEAM MUST HAVE AN ADULT SITTING ON THE BENCH WITH THEM, if this does not happen then they will not be able to play. It does not need to be the same one each week but they must have an adult on the bench at all times.

RUGBY

1st XV is playing Nelson College this Saturday at 12.40pm and this will be televised on Sky Rugby Channel. Please be mindful when parking in the school grounds this weekend as there will be a lot of activity here. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS IN THE QUAD.

You are better to come in Momorangi Crescent and park in Car Park 2.
