Mr Justin Boyle —

Greetings from St Bede’s College.

Hope all is well with you and your families as we ready ourselves to go into lockdown today.

There will be two communications to you today, and then we will leave you alone until we re-engage with you again near the end of the holiday period.

Term 2 begins on Wednesday 15 April as you will see from the communication from Mr McDowall, and we are ready to continue the learning programme at the beginning of the term.

In Mr McDowall's communication, you will see who to contact about not only the boys' learning, but also there is information to help about student welfare.

It is important that we are aware of any changes to your son's health, including the off-chance that any of the boys or their families are diagnosed with COVID-19. If this is the case, please email Mr McDowall on jmcdowall@stbedes.school.nz

The following is a prayer sent by the Superior General of the Society of Mary, which over these last few days has been recited on a number of occasions.

Marist Novena of Prayer for Mercy
Healing Lord,
we pray through the intercession of our Founder,
Father Jean-Claude Colin,
and Mary, Mother of Mercy,
for all people affected by the new coronavirus,
that everyone may know your love and protection.
We pray for all Marists throughout the world,
especially for our senior and vulnerable brothers and sisters.
May we know your special protection and care.
We also pray for all those with whom we share the Work of Mary and for all whom we serve in our different ministries.
May all people experience your healing and protective grace
in all that is happening among us.
We fly to thy protection,
0 Holy Mother of God;
Despise not our prayers in our necessities
But in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen
Venerable Jean Claude Colin - pray for us.
Mary, Queen of the Apostles - pray for us.

The Bede's Harmony attachment has been well received by staff and hopefully will give you some practical ways of how to manage you and your families during this challenging time.
