BASKETBALL

Friday night basketball starts tonight.

This year the College has 15 teams playing on a Friday night in different venues around the city.

We need an adult to sit on the bench with each team and take control if there are any issues with either teams. If this does not happen and I get a complaint from another school, then I will have to withdraw that team from the competition. Your assistance with this is very much appreciated.

All players must wear a St Bede's College Basketball singlet and these can be ordered from the College Shop. The College Shop are in the process of ordering the singlets so until they arrive, the boys will need to play in their PE polo shirt. PE shorts must also be worn! Any issues please contact me.

SMALL BORE SHOOTING

Some of our boys belong to the Rangiora Small Bore Shooting Club and we are very fortunate to have an ex-parent keen to coach the boys on Wednesday after school. If your son is keen to take this sport up, please send him to the Sports Office to get all the information regarding this.

ROWING

The St Bede's College Rowing Club are holding their Annual General Meeting Wednesday on Wednesday 15 May at 7.00 pm in the College Staffroom. If your son intends rowing for the College then you are very much encouraged to attend.

Rowing is a sport held in high esteem by top academic institutions and employers. Parents seeking a team sport that fosters a positive attitude, perseverance, self-management and a desire to work hard, are welcome to come along and learn about what rowing can provide for your son.
