INDOOR CRICKET

Congratulations to Jackson Hemingway who had a very successful World Tournament for the New Zealand Under 17 Indoor Cricket team.

After eight days of fierce competition, NZ played South Africa in the final. Jackson took 1 wicket for 4 runs, which resulted in a win by 26 runs to New Zealand, and by winning were crowned World Junior Champions! Well done Jackson.

Brodie Hemingway was also selected in the New Zealand Under 13 Team, which played in the World Tournament as well. The Under 13 Team had a hard fought tournament, to finish 3rd. Brodie had a great tournament and played very well.

See below for some photo's of the boys in action.

SURFING NEW ZEALAND SCHOLASTIC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The National Scholastic Surfing Championships are the pinnacle of junior surfing in New Zealand.

Casper McCormick, Riley Gibson, James Miller and Neko Tohiariki represented Canterbury at the Championships.

Casper McCormick had an outstanding championship catching good waves and won the under 18 Longboard event, which was a fantastic effort.

Because the team all surfed well, it saw Canterbury Schools take out the teams event which is the first time that Canterbury has ever won the Nationals. Well done to all the boys.
