Service in Action
In a world where many are struggling to make ends meet, the work of organisations such as St Vincent de Paul plays an invaluable role in providing support to those in need.
Recently, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to make a significant impact by coming together for an event aimed at helping people struggling to put food on the table. In partnership with St Vincent de Paul, the students packed an astonishing $10,000 worth of groceries to give to local families in need. This event not only showed the power of community, but highlighted the importance of compassion and service.
The day was filled with energy and excitement as the students organised into groups to assemble care packages containing essential items such as canned goods, fresh produce, pasta, rice, and other non-perishable food items.
This event was not only an opportunity to give back to the community, but also a powerful learning experience. It allowed the students to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by many and taught them the value of giving their time and resources to help others.
The event also helped foster a sense of unity among the students, as they worked together toward a common goal with a shared sense of purpose.
