Greetings from St Bede’s College.

Our week culminated with the first College Mass of the year to which we invited the significant donors of the Chapel.

After mass we staged an 'unveiling' of the plaques that display the names of the donors. Appropriately, the Provincial of the Society of Mary, Fr. Tim Duckworth SM, was the chief celebrant. The Society's generous foundational gift of $1m was crucial to the success of the Chapel Appeal.

The Summer Sports programme continues and as you will see later in the newsletter, there have been some very good performances.

The season of Lent began on Wednesday and the College community gathered for the Ash Wednesday Liturgy in the courtyard. This was a simple, solemn ceremony where the ashes were distributed to all in the community.
