Mrs Clare Kissick —

Information and updates.

We wish all the boys well for the two days.

AFL

Congratulations to Luke de Roo who was awarded the weekly standout young players of the week in the 2020 AFL New Zealand Premiership – this is the write up Luke received from AFL NZ.

Each week the award will be allocated to those who show ability that favours the core components it takes to become an AFL Player. To be eligible to be nominated for the award, a player must be born in 2001 or younger.
The AFL New Zealand Rising Star award for round 5 of the 2020 AFL New Zealand Premiership has been awarded to Luke De Roo from the Western Crows.
"Luke is from Canterbury and currently attends St. Bedes College in Christchurch. He has wonderful hand and foot skills for someone who is only new to the game and is currently playing as a swingman at either half back or half forward as he continues to develop.
Western Crows Head Coach Matt Cawley is excited about Luke’s future in the game.
“Luke has been a hugely beneficial acquisition for the Crows this year. He has an endless amount of potential, and will likely end up a very secure and strong Centre Half Back or Centre Half Forward. I was so pleased to be able to get him in the draft and you will see him in a Falcons guernsey for many years to come.”
