Information and updates.

Contra-flow on Waimakariri Bridge Friday and Saturday nights

We are lifting more beams on the bridge over the weekend. To do this we will have the contra-flow set up on the nights of 16 and 17 August (6pm to 6am).
There will also be a temporary 60km/h speed limit in place.

A newsletter on this and the next story is on our website.

Tram Road off-ramp night closures

On the nights of Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 from 7pm to 7am, Tram Road off-ramp will be closed and SH1 will be reduced to one lane from the Waimakariri Bridge to just beyond Tram Road.

Tram Road off-ramp users can take the Ohoka Road off-ramp and follow the posted detour via Island Road.

A newsletter on this and the above is on our website.

QEII Drive piling and wall reconstruction update

The deconstruction of the wall panels and abutments is going well and is ahead of schedule - the night work for this is finished and the piling is being set up.

All going well, the piling will take six to eight weeks. This work will be noisy, so thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding, we really do appreciate it.

Following the piling, we will reconstruct the ramps and walls and then place the bridge beams early next year.

For more information on this reconstruction see our newsletter.

QEII Drive west - line marking change

On Sunday night we will be changing the line markings on QEII Drive near the Main North Road intersection. This will allow us to move the traffic over and continue our work.

Please take care in this area as drivers get used to the new layout.

Transport projects aim to ease impact of extra traffic

Just a reminder to get your feedback to the council on their plans for Cranford Street and the surrounding suburbs by 19 August.
